This is truly the perfect dress watch. It appears elegant and clean at first glance, but there is plenty of exquisite detail to appreciate the closer you look - from the beautiful kira-zuri dial texture catching the light, to the capped seconds hand and the onyx-topped crown, to the shine of the caiman leather strap and the Art Deco buckle, this watch looks far more expensive than it is.
This is a living fossil in Seiko's lineup, barely changed since the early '90s, and one of the very last models to use the excellent 8J movement - it isn't mentioned in this listing, but this is a high-accuracy quartz (HAQ) calibre, accurate to ±10 seconds per year as opposed to the more typical ±15 seconds per month. Perhaps they've simply forgotten they still make it - the staff at the Seiko flagship boutique in Ginza seemed unaware it was a current model until I showed them the listing on Seiko's website, and they had none on hand to show!
Buying from Sakura was quick and painless, and the watch arrived safely packaged and ahead of schedule. If you're deliberating, just buy one, there really is nothing else like it available new.

The watch seems ok, unfortunately the description is not exactly accurate....only the indicators are bright but the indices are not. Warranty only in Japan....if it is still delivered to other countries it should benefit from a minimum of an international warranty and an instruction manual in an international language. Honestly I am a little disappointed but that is it

Great watch, the contrast of the face/bezel and the band is just perfect.
This is my third G-Shock order from Sakura Watches. As always, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and with the watch.
The prices are great, packaging and shipping are top notch!
A+++

I was looking for a GADA watch after owning just one mechanical watch and being a bit underwhelmed. Citizen's The Citizen was an option (a bit beyond my budget), but this has scratched that itch.
I love how light and comfortable this is, and it's also very accurate without the radio signal. The perpetual calendar is an added bonus that was on my wishlist.
The dial is beautiful and very legible - and it's like the crystal isn't there. When researching the watch, I wasn't sure about the dial due to the textured finish and was thinking about the SBTM323, but in the end I'm glad I got the 341. The dial texture is more subtle than what you see in photos - mostly you can't notice it, and when you do (when you get the angle right), it's subtle and adds to the appeal of the dial.
Finally, shipping and communication from Sakura was great. I'd definitely order from them again.

The watch is very beautiful with it's one of a kind titanium black DLC treatment.
In person the color looks more like a subtle dark grey/graphite finish.
Manufacturing details are on point, alignment is perfect.
Solar and radio controlled time are working perfectly (after properly charging the watch for two days with the sun as soon as it got out of the box).
Understated, timeless and classy design, very thin and lightweight.
Something to note for small wrists (about 16cm) : I had to take out all the removable links and reverse the clasp in order to find the perfect fit for me.
Note that there is no half links, but you can manage the proper fit with the easy to use micro adjustments of the clasps.
Sakura Watch was a really good reseller, good buying experience and fast delivery.
Good tracking with DHL, no problems with customs.
Just note that they do not adjust bracelet size for you and their prices can fluctuate a lot (20 days later, the watch was 25 dollars less on the site).
Overall really good product and experience !

Great watch, love the grey colour. Not easy to get a good fit will look for rubber strap. I’m new to the collar and pin system, lost a collar when I was trying to get a fit.
Love the simple efficient clean design.
And great service from Sakura as always :)
DHL was quick, had small duties to pay on my end 50/50 chance i knew i might have too. Still worth it.

2 weeks to receive the watch in Canada.
The watches are beautiful but small. very small.
My third watch from Sakura, the buy and delivery work great.
The only problem is that the watch size is nothing like what was expected. Don't forget this is not Amazon, you can't return it if you don't like it.
I highly suggest you find this watch and see it before ordering.

The watch is pleasant and comfortable to wear, and it looks aesthetically pleasing. The metal strap is also comfortable on the wrist.
However, the flip-open cover feels a bit too loose. When I lift the lid and move my wrist, it quickly falls back down onto my fingers. Additionally, I find the braille dots difficult to distinguish by touch, and the hour hand is barely noticeable to my fingers.
As someone who lost sight later in life, I may be less sensitive to these tactile features. It’s possible that people who are blind from birth may find it easier to recognize these differences.

This is my fourth purchase from Sakura and am thoroughly satisfied and impressed with the piece. The watch is absolutely stunning and a perfect companion as a do anything, go anywhere watch. Build quality, look and feel is luxury level and very comfortable on wrist for all day wear.
The super clear crystal is stunning and very practical at all angles and lighting conditions, and the dial is just beguiling to look at.
The lume doesn't disappoint and lasts all night.
Sakura Watches service and communication, like always is excellent and delivery to Sydney via DHL was very fast, thank you again!

A nice, classy watch for its price. The ivory dial and applied indices are lovely, and the watch keeps time well within spec. Dresses up well but isn’t overly fussy, and should have good enough water resistance to serve as a GADA watch. The lume isn’t great if you feel the need for that, but I don’t really mind. I’ve kept it on an aftermarket leather strap since purchase so can’t speak to the bracelet.

The watch came within 12 days. Everything in the box was expected exactly like on the website. The wath is impressive and on the back of it it writen "Duratect" which means the base steel is treted well for hadness of the beacelet. Work very well, just a few seconds everyday which is not a problem at all in my own opinion.

I ordered this at the end of 2025 and it came in right before the new year; this is honestly a jaw-dropping watch when viewed in-person. As this is a true GMT, I do have to keep it wound when not wearing it so I do not have to rapidly pass 20 days to get it to the right time, but it's relatively easy to do as it builds up power fast and with relatively little motion.
And, 20 mm lug width! Different leather straps look phenomenal on the watch head. The dial itself shines in the light with a design that feels clean, modern, and timeless. I would say this is probably the most understated of the GS range, and I can't help but smile with it on.

Ordered to Canada. Delivery took about two weeks. The watch is made in Japan and is very beautiful, which is why I gave it 4 stars, despite one major issue.
I have a 19 cm wrist, and my other field watch, the Citizen Garrison (42 mm), looks great on me. Unfortunately, the SBSA201 feels much smaller than expected. On my wrist, it honestly looks like a very small—or “baby”—watch. The issue is purely the size.
I watched many YouTube reviews before buying, and no one mentioned how small it wears, so please be careful if you’re considering the SBSA201 and have a larger wrist.
That said, when comparing the two watches closely, the SBSA201 has finer details and overall looks more refined than the Citizen.

I had been looking for a watch with good luminescence, solar movement and a smaller profile to suit my 17cm wrist. I immediately liked the simple and uncluttered design of the SBPX157. The watch specification is also higher than many other watches available at UK vendors at similar prices.
The product arrived securely packed and in excellent condition. I did not have to pay any customs fees upon it reaching the UK.
The deployant strap supplied with the watch is of decent quality, but I changed this to a silicone and leather two-piece hybrid as personal preference.
The watch is a great daily driver and I would be happy to shop with Sakura again.

I’ve been using radio-controlled, solar watches for years, with a Casio Multiband model as my personal benchmark for pure functionality (the casio LIW-M700D-1AJF model to be exact). This Citizen entered my collection as a birthday purchase and this review is written from the perspective of someone who values function, restraint, and long-term usability over recognition or brand mythology.
-First Impressions
Out of the box, the watch is clearly well built. Finishing is clean, dial printing is precise, and legibility is strong despite the amount of information presented. My initial reaction was honest but reserved:
-Slightly large for my taste
-Somewhat visually busy
Not enough to disappoint, but enough to register.
-Movement & Functionality
The Citizen E660 caliber does exactly what it promises:
-Solar powered
-Radio-controlled accuracy
-Chronograph
-Alarm
-Reserve indicator
Once synchronized, it becomes a true set-and-forget watch. Reliability and precision are unquestionable. Compared to my Casio reference, however, the difference in functional density is clear. The Casio still leads in sheer capability:
-everything (but the reserve indicator) E660 provides plus Countdown timer and kind of a more extensive multi-function logic
From a purely technical checklist perspective, the Casio remains the benchmark.
Ease of Use: Where Citizen Pulls Ahead
Where the Citizen decisively wins is usability. Configuration is dramatically simpler:
-Logical crown and pusher behavior
-Clear feedback
-No punishment for making adjustments
In daily life, this matters more than specs. A watch that does slightly less but is easier to live with often gets worn more—and that’s exactly what happened here.
Strap Change: The Real Transformation
The stock metal bracelet contributed to two issues:
-Visual heaviness
-Significant weight.
Switching to a black rubber strap changed the watch entirely:
-Reduced perceived size
-Noticeably improved comfort
-Calmed the dial visually by simplifying the frame around it.
-Most importantly, it removed the sense of clutter.
After the strap change, the watch stopped trying to assert itself and started behaving like what it is meant to be: a tool.
Living With It: The Score Goes Up
After several days of real use, something became clear: this is a watch that improves with familiarity. It disappears on the wrist. It behaves predictably. It never demands attention—but it always delivers. What initially felt like an 8/10 gradually earned a reassessment. Final score: 9/10 (relative to my personal benchmark).
Not because it gained features—but because it gained trust.
This Citizen fits my worldview far better.
Final Thoughts
This is not a watch that tries to impress. It earns its place through quiet competence, comfort, and reliability. It didn’t win me over instantly—but it did something better: it proved itself, day after day.
And that’s how good tools should work.

5 stars for both superb Sakra service and a terrific watch.
I own several G-Shock Tough Solar with Multiband 6 and wanted to try something similar but less over the top design wise. This ProTrek is very much full-featured and equally capable but in a more discreet package.
Very solid build quality. Easy strap changes, although I wish lug width were something other than 23mm. It's easy to read and use in any mode. An advantage over all of my G-Shocks is reception. While my G-Shocks need to be placed near an East facing window with antenna facing upwards to receive nightly Atomic Clock signal, the ProTrek picks up the signals from anywhere in the house and in any position. This is a major plus. The unique illumination system also works extremely well.
Loving this watch. Thanks to Sakura for a perfect transaction.

This is a great watch.....BUT.....
Citizen have decided to go with seiko's HATED 'pin and collar' system, for adjusting the band. Each link comprises of 5 separate pieces.
This means you need to align a collar of less than 0.5mm with 5 separate pieces of link.
This is a MASSIVE FAIL for Citizen, and they have joined the ranks of the hated Seiko, for band construction.
Very poor form.
Apart from that....watch is great, but a one way bezel would've been better.

This was my third purchase from Sakura and am very happy with the piece. The quality and finish is very nice, especially the case and dial. The super clear crystal is stunning and very practical at all angles and lighting conditions. Lume is more or less diver worthy and lasts all night. Lugs have a very nice downturn and hug the wrist comfortably.
The only negatives are the 21mm lug width and minimal taper on the bracelet. I remedied this by switching to a oysterflex style fkm rubber strap with a classic 21-16mm taper.

This was my first purchase from Sakura Watches, and I am very satisfied with the experience.
The watch arrived in perfect condition and the quality fully meets my expectations.
The packaging was secure and professional, and the overall service from the store was excellent.
I appreciate the clear communication and reliable handling of the order.
I would confidently recommend Sakura Watches and will consider purchasing from this store again.

This was my second purchase from Sakura and am thoroughly satisfied and impressed with the piece. The quality and finish is top notch. The super clear crystal is stunning and very practical at all angles and lighting conditions, and the dial is just beguiling to look at. The lumibrite is not diver intense, though it does last most of the night.
The only negative would be the bracelet. Don't get me wrong, it's absolutely serviceable, the links are solid and it's comfy on wrist, albeit it just doesn't match with this style of watch, it only has a 2mm taper 20-18, and that's why I upgraded to a jubilee style with a classic 4mm taper.

Ordered a watch that was shown as available. Turns out they had a system error with the manufacturer. Got refunded but lost money on the conversion.
Also, it's like pulling teeth to get answers from them. Went back and forth for weeks and never answered my questions. Just "how would you like to proceed" without any information to base my decision on.

this has been my daily since I got it.
this is my 3rd titanium solar/radio and it is my favorite now.
good reception with wwvb in Oregon USA.
it is only "auto-DST" away from absolutely perfect. IMO.
but setting the hour is as easy as moving the second hand one click twice a year. done entirely with the crown.

this is perfect g-square for smaller wrists ..
fits my 7" wrist on the first strap hole with barely any tail.
6.5 and smaller wrists it will fit fine including my daughter
be aware that the "baby-g" is so dark it is barely noticeable and would be a fine watch for small wrists boys also.
bought this color and the brown one now. they have held up well for daughters military duty and looks good in camo or khaki uniform as well as casual clothes.
the multiband 6 picks up wwvb in the USA well. (Oregon)

we bought the black version and loved it. had to order the brown one also. this is perfect on my daughters small wrists. tried it on my 7" wrist fits on the first strap hole with barely enough tail to tuck in the keeper. so a 6.5" and smaller would fit very well. looks exactly like a classic g-shock square about 2/3rds the size.
