I like this watch. For a G-Shock, it is lightweight. The color is neutral, and I like that as it seems to blend in rather than stand out. I wear it at work (hospital) and I like that I can see the hours, minutes, and seconds easily. I switched the strap out for an elastic one, so I can easily slide it up my arm when I have to wash my hands, which I have to do at work quite often.

I was debating between this and the polar field GMT (SBSC009). I settled on the HDB007J because the numerals are lumed - and yes, the lume treatment is luxurious. The no non-sense white dial has a powdered silver finish, so under under certain angles, it will adopt a light overcast grey that allows the white indices to really pop. Because of the cylindrical rotating bezel, the watch wears even bigger than the 48mm+ lug to lug. The folding under-elements of the clasp are also a bit long, so for people with small wrists like me, I had to remove one of the permanent links at the 6 o'clock end of the bracelet, on top of all the removable links at that end. The diamond knurling on the side of the bezel is polished, so it looks as if the side is encrusted with small crystals. This watch also features a display case that exhibits the 4R36 movement. I'm a fan of tool watches, and this field watch checks all the boxes.

I had an incredibly positive shopping experience when I purchased a watch from Sakura Watches. The actual process of making the purchase on the Sakura web site was smooth and I did not need any help in figuring out the purchase. Shipping took two weeks, but on the Sakura site they explained that there was a holiday period that would effectively suspend sipping for one week, so there were no complaints with the length of delivery. The item, a Citizen watch, was perfect and all paperwork was included. I paid a fair price for the exact watch I wanted, and after a month of ownership, I am even happier with my purchase. I did receive an invoice from FedEx for import duties about one week after the delivery. No post-purchase issues have come up, but based on my initial experience with Sakura, they will work to make sure I am satisfied. The overall experience was particularly good. Thank you, Sakura.

Great value for money. Metal bracelet not the best but alright considering the price. Changed it out for a leather band and now it's a very nice dress watch. Very lightweight and slim which makes it easily slide under every shirt. Overall the quality of the watch is very high considering the price.

It's been a couple of weeks with the watch. So far so good. Setting it up took a while with the app as in India (or anywhere except Japan) the watch won't get the radio signal. Make sure the phone speaker is closest to the 9 o'clock part of the watch.
Additionally, I would thank Sakurawatches for their timely packaging and prompt delivery!

I agree with everybody that this watch punches way above its weight. It's the perfect GADA watch, beautifully designed and executed. I'm wearing it on a black leather strap, and I love the elegant and toned-down look. It's a little smaller than the 40 mm/48 mm lug-to-lug watches I usually wear, but I think it works perfectly well for my 20 cm wrist; also, it's nice and slim thanks to the 90xx series movement. If I had one nit to pick, it's that it could be regulated a little better; mine runs at about +10 seconds per day. Maybe I'll give that a try myself.

I like it so much that I am seriously considering getting the blue dial as well, or the blacked-out NB1054.

Shipping from Sakura to Europe was nice and quick, and the communication and the handover to the local shipping company worked flawlessly, so that aspect was not stressful at all.

Watch is good, but I miss lume.
Delivery was slower than on website (3-6 days). It was shipped after 9 business days, close to 2 weeks.
I did not expect such slow shipment for a watch listed as available.
And FedEx took another 5 days to Germany. Would have been 7 but I picked it up myself in their storage.

After narrowing down to 6 different watches, I am very pleased with my decision to purchase the Seiko SBTM341 from Sakura.

I chose Sakura, as ChatGPT rated Sakura the highest, among retailers in Japan I could directly purchase this specific watch from (since it's not available in the U.S.).

I was completely satisfied with this decision. The watch arrived to me in 10 days time, in perfect condition. New, all original packaging, tags, warranty, etc. Pristine. DHL updates were regular & timely throughout the entire shipping process.

Things I absolutely LOVE about this watch:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
• Solar powered = never needs a battery
• Titanium feels very light on my wrist and gets neither hot or cold due to the low conductivity rate of titanium
• Receives the atomic clock signal from Boulder, Colorado very well, from where I live in St. Louis.
• So, it keeps highly accurate time each & every day.
• Beautiful finish – my dream watch is a Grand Seiko Heritage and this watch is truly the closest thing I was able to find to it from Seiko in terms of quality, design, & features.
• All the materials, are top quality and are beautiful & hi-end in fit, finish & appearance to the eye.
• Date is easy to to read.
• Non-glare coating on interior of sapphire crystal works very well, as the watch can be easily read in any light from any angle.
• I love to swim and it's water resistant to 100M.
• My TOTAL cost, after purchase, shipping, tariff, tax, customs fees, & having two links taken out of the bracelet after receipt to best fit my wrist, was just a touch under $550 US, a TRUE bargain.

The ONLY detail I wish were a touch better:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
• The lumen is fairly bright right after being exposed to strong light, however it fades pretty quickly.
• Not a huge detail, but I truly think this would truly be the perfect watch if its lumen were, say, the same as the Seiko Prospex Alpinist, whose lumen is rated among the very best of any watch available.

So, I give my new watch a solid 9.5/10.

I'm very, very satisfied with it, and I would recommend this watch to anyone who wants a truly top-quality watch for a very fair price, that punches WELL above its weight due to its meticulous, clean design aesthetic, emblematic of watches which cost much more. It's simply classic, not overdone like most watches that look like they're out to prove something. This watch communicates quiet confidence.

I chose the black dial for its high legibility in low-light, and recommend this choice. The fine pinstripe detail you can see in the black dial is an additional, striking design element.

The GW-5000U-1JF was a upgrade for me from my older 5610u model and i have researched the 5000u model for several months prior to purchase. The upgraded, screw down back and the full metal internal frame are really nice and the quality is perfect.

I am really happy with the watch and the service received from Sakura Watches. The Watch is really comfortable, almost perfectly accurate via the MB6 synchronisation and the solar charging means i don’t need to worry about battery changes or servicing fees.

Sakura Watches processed the order quickly and shipped it via FedEx. I had the watch on my wrist within a week and i was updated on progress at each step.

I have recommended Sakura Watches to several friends and will use them again without hesitation.

I love this watch. I first noticed it on a business trip to Tokyo, but procrastinated and didn't buy it. Then back home in Canada I was pleased to see it available on Sakura. This watch is an exceptional value and looks and feels like it should be priced at $1750 USD. Setting the time and date feels precise, and it is accurate to within 4 seconds per day (runs 3-4 seconds per day fast). It looks and feels like a luxury watch. I removed 3 links, and with the one micro-adjust hole, it fits my 18.25 cm wrist very well. With the 3 links removed it weighs 124 grams and is very comfortable. My only negative comment is it doesn't have a confident sounding-feeling snap when you close the bracelet. But after wearing it for a month, there are no issues. I work in a dress-casual office environment (blazer and slacks) and it looks perfect for that. But it really looks best with a suit and tie. This is a beautiful and classic dress watch in my opinion. Regarding color- it is silver tone in low light, and light silver (almost white) in the sunlight. And for those that are super picky like me - the date is perfectly centered in the date window. This has been a very positive purchase experience in every regard.

Absolutely terrible experience

I bought this watch from Sakura Watches about a month ago, and it has already developed a serious defect in the analog part. The hands are showing the wrong time and, despite the watch being connected to my phone and receiving the correct time every day, the analog hands simply do not correct themselves.

I contacted Sakura Watches expecting a reasonable solution, such as a refund for a defective product. Instead, they refused because the watch had been used. Apparently, a watch developing a defect after being used is somehow a reason to deny a refund.

Their proposed solution was to send the watch all the way back to Japan for repair or replacement. The worst part is that I have to pay the international shipping myself. The shipping cost would end up being more than the watch itself. That is completely unreasonable for a defective product.

This is an absolute nightmare of a customer service experience. You can spend your money on a watch and apparently have no meaningful guarantee that it will actually work, and if something goes wrong, you are left dealing with expensive international shipping and a complicated repair process.

For me, this was a miserable experience from start to finish. Absolute no-go. I will never buy from Sakura Watches again and strongly recommend thinking twice before ordering from them.

This is an awesome watch. Shipping took a bit of time—I am in America—but the people at Sakura kept me posted. They are wonderful people to work with. This watch is not available in the States. I appreciate the people at Sakura.

The watch picks up the radio frequency fine and sets itself after the time zone is set. I traveled and changed time zones once. The watch adjusted well after I switched the zone on the piece.

I would buy from Sakura again.

Great watch. I've owned one just like it some years ago (the one with black dial). Light weight, great water resistance, excellent technology, elegant and easy to set up, even that I have not yet experience the date correction on a 30 day month. The only reason do not give 5 stars, is that I wish the luminous markers and hands to be more intense, like other Promasters and Seiko divers I've own previously.
